Refund Policy

Please review our fee structure and refund policies carefully before submitting your application.

A. Application Fee (Non-Refundable)

The Initial Application Fee ($300 CAD) is collected to cover the immediate costs of:

  • Pre-screening your business entity
  • Engaging licensed provincial lawyers to conduct the mandatory ownership audit and document verification
  • Secure data processing and system administration

Therefore, the Application Fee is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Declined Applications: If your business does not meet the 100% Canadian ownership criteria as determined by our legal team.
  • Incomplete Submissions: If you fail to provide the necessary documentation within the required timeframe after payment.
  • Withdrawal: If you choose to withdraw your application after the process has begun.

By submitting your application and payment, you acknowledge and agree that this fee is for the service of verification, not the guarantee of certification.

B. Membership Fees

1. Before Certification (During Application)

If you paid your membership fee upfront and your application is declined, the Membership portion of your payment will be refunded in full. The Application Fee portion remains non-refundable.

Example: If you paid $600 ($300 Application Fee + $300 Membership Fee) and your application is declined, you will receive a $300 refund for the membership portion.

2. Active Membership (After Certification)

Once your business is certified and your Seal/License Number has been issued, your membership is considered active. At this point:

No Pro-Rated Refunds: We do not offer partial or pro-rated refunds for the remaining time on an active, verified membership term (1, 2, or 3 years).

This policy ensures the integrity of our certification program and covers the ongoing costs of maintaining your verified status in our public directory and registry.

3. Cancellation of Future Renewals

You may cancel your renewal at any time to prevent future charges. Your certification and right to use the Seal remain valid until the end of your paid membership term, even if you choose not to renew.

C. Reprocessing Fee

Reprocessing Fee: $300 CAD

When your membership term expires, you must pay a Reprocessing Fee to undergo a re-verification audit. This fee is also non-refundable as it covers the cost of a full re-verification audit to ensure your business's ownership status remains 100% accurate and legally current.

This is essential to protect the integrity and value of the certification for all members and consumers.

D. Chargebacks & Disputes

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute for services already rendered (including the Application Fee after the verification process has begun) may result in:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of your membership
  • Removal from the public directory
  • Revocation of your right to use the Seal
